Biography
Anders is a light lyric tenor who earned his Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and music education at The Eastman School of Music. In the past, Anders has performed with Eastman Opera Theatre, The Finger Lakes Opera Young Artist Program, and Geneva Light Opera in New York. Anders has performed Schumann’s Dichterliebe, covered Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, performed Jack in John Davies’ adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk, Gérard in Les enfants terribles by Phillip Glass and was a finalist in the Eastman Kneisel Competition. Anders recently completed his Master’s degree in vocal performance at Florida State University!
Outside of performing, Anders is a passionate voice teacher and educator. Having majored in general music education, Anders worked as an adjunct voice instructor at Finger Lakes Community College as well as a Theory in Motion instructor at The Eastman Community Music School. During his studies at FSU, Anders undertook a graduate assistant of voice position. Here, he taught weekly voice lessons to college level students. Most recently, Anders taught as a voice instructor at Leon High School in Tallahassee, FL and enjoys helping the younger generation of singers find their individual voice!
